We are so thankful to members of our staff who have managed to come up with creative solutions to keep our drivers and Transportation team safe.

UCHRA shop staff designed and installed plexiglass shields for the driver area. Randy Weiker, Putnam County driver and retired Cookeville Police Officer, and his wife made several face masks and have given them to other drivers and staff and to the Cookeville Police Department.

Rebecca Harris, Transportation/Services Director and UCHRA Deputy Director says: “I am not sure you can tell but I am smiling with a grateful heart. We have been unable to order these (masks) and thank Randy and his wife for their kindness and his service.”

In Warren County, Transit Operator Dena Spiesz has also been busy making face masks to help keep clients and staff safe amid COVID-19. (Pictured: Randall Pleasant)

Great job, team!
